We can help: ‘Contactless’ legal services

The majority of our legal services can be offered remotely, meaning you can progress a matter with us by email, phone and/or video call, without the need for an appointment at our offices.

We’re here to help, so if you have any queries about our ‘contactless’ services, please get in touch by phone, email or live chat. We can also accommodate face-to-face appointments, so please contact us to arrange a suitable date and time if you prefer to visit us in person.

Wills & Probate

If you’re planning for the future, we can take your instructions and advise you over the phone or video call (FaceTime, Zoom etc.), without the need for a face-to-face appointment. If you would like to make a Will or a Lasting Power of Attorney, your contact will explain the documents to you over the phone and ensure you fully understand the implications.

Any documents requiring a signature will be posted to you and you will be required to source your own witnesses.

Conveyancing

We can offer a ‘contactless’ service from initial quote to completion. Your conveyancer will progress matters by phone or email, depending on your preferences. We can also arrange video calls if required.

Copies of your ID will be required – your conveyancer will advise you on the type and format of ID we can accept.

When you’re ready to exchange contracts, your conveyancer will explain the legal implications to you via a phone call. We will then send the paperwork to you by post or email for you to sign in the presence of an independent witness.

Completion can be arranged over the phone with your instructions.

Family Law

If you are considering divorce or separation, looking for advice about an issue relating to your children, or need urgent help to ensure your safety and that of your children, we can progress your case by telephone, email or video call.

We recognise it can be difficult to talk to us confidentially at home, so we can arrange to call you at a specific time if preferred. We can post or email documents to you as you prefer.

The Court system is still operating, and many hearings are held now by conference call.

Personal Injury

All personal injury cases can be progressed from start to finish without the need for a face-to-face appointment, so no matter your location, we can help.

Once you’ve contacted us, your details will be taken via an initial phone call, then matters will be progressed by phone or email. Documents can be signed online using a secure platform, or papers can be posted to your address.

Dispute Resolution and Employment Law

Your case will be progressed as usual, without the need for face-to-face contact. Your lawyer will be guided by your preferences for telephone or email contact. We can also arrange video calls.

Any documents requiring a signature can be sent by email or post for clients to sign and return.
