Director and Head of Wills & Probate shortlisted for award
Helen Gott, Director and Head of Emsleys’ Wills & Probate department, has been shortlisted for the Private Client Award in The Yorkshire Legal Awards 2017.
Helen is an expert in the private client field, with expertise in wills, probate, administration of trusts and estate, court of protection, mental incapacity, Powers of Attorney and Deputyship.
Helen has increased client satisfaction levels to 100% for the 10th month in a row for the Wills & Probate department. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and the service she provides ensures that clients remain loyal and have been so throughout her time in practice. It also ensures that clients use other practice areas across the firm. Her technical ability and personal approach have been recognised in professional directories and charity directories, the latter of whom recommend Helen to their service users.
Helen is a STEP diploma qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. STEP is an international professional group promoting the benefit of a ‘trusted advisor’ specialising in private client work acting for different generations of the family and Helen exemplifies this in her day to day work. Helen is also a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a nationwide organisation of solicitors who specialise in elder client law.
Her particular specialisms of mental incapacity and high net worth individuals means that she is a regular speaker at seminars for fellow professionals and charities alike. In the last year alone, Helen has spoken at seminars to audiences of up to 250 people about recent legislative changes regarding inheritance tax and Powers of Attorney. Helen is a recommended solicitor for local charities and hospices and spoke at the Alzheimer’s Roadshow as a Law Society member in June 2017.
