Emsleys completes major Lexcel Practice Management reaccreditation.
Emsleys Solicitors successfully underwent their annual Lexcel assessment earlier this year. Introduced by The Law Society, the Practice Management Accreditation examines levels of client care, legal and financial compliance and practice management. Ensuring their clients’ needs are met, is essential for Emsleys to retain their accreditation.
The assessment scrutinises all areas of the business with eight key focuses. Structure and Policies, Strategic Plans, Financial Management, Information Management, People Management, Risk Management, Client Care and File and Case Management. An independent assessor reviews a variety of policy documents and client cases at random to ensure compliance across the practice. Interviews with senior management and selected staff all provide assessor with evidence that the firm is reaching the standards required.
Although smaller maintenance visits are undertaken every year to ensure standards are being met, every three years a full re-assessment of all criteria is carried out by the body. This year was Emsleys’ full re-accreditation, and they comfortably passed all requirements set by the assessor.
The Law Society's research shows that firms with Lexcel Practice Management Accreditations offer clients a greater range of real benefits including, better customer service, fewer claims or complaints and can provide best value to clients.
