Emsleys raises £5,000 for St Gemma’s Hospice
The totals are in! After a year of fundraising for our 2017/18 Charity of the Year, we were delighted to present St Gemma’s Hospice with a cheque for £5,000.
St Gemma’s is a Leeds-based charity providing tailored care and support for those with cancer and other illnesses, including an in-patient unit, a community team and day services.
Our Charity Committee have fundraised throughout the year by holding events such as race nights and our annual summer fun day. Colleagues also donate money to charitable causes including our Charity of the Year on a monthly basis.
The donation will pay for 10 full days of care for one in patient at the hospice, including care, meals and medication; two home visits by the St Gemma’s community team, and two physiotherapy sessions to assist with patients’ mobility.
