Emsleys sponsors ‘Sponsor the Sparkle’ Campaign in support of Leeds Teaching Hospitals this Christmas
We are delighted to share news that we will be sponsoring the Leeds Teaching Hospitals’ ‘Support our Sparkle’ campaign this Christmas.
What will happen?
Along with a number of other local businesses, we have chosen a star that will be a part of a festive light display that will decorate the hospital buildings in Leeds for all to see throughout the Christmas period.
What will the sponsorship do?
The money provided for the sponsorship is to directly support the incredible staff of Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the amazing work they do caring for our loved ones throughout the festive period and beyond.
The Sparkle Campaign was officially launched last year and raised over £30,000 to support projects across Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The campaign funded Christmas trees, decorations and Christmas dinner for staff working away from loved ones on Christmas day.
This year, with the combined help of those businesses participating, they are hoping to make it even bigger, better and brighter and aim to raise enough funds to support NHS initiatives for the full year. The money will go towards supporting valuable upcoming appeals such as the MND appeal and the new Leeds Children’s Hospital, plus, any new research, extra facilities, education, people and the purchase of life saving equipment - as well as simply hoping to bring smiles to the faces of patients, staff and their families throughout the festive period.
The Virtual Switch On
Look out for the live virtual ‘switch on’ that will be taking place on their social media channels at 5pm on Wednesday, 1st December. Once live, the display will be on the building until Sunday 10th January 2022.
A ‘special guest’ is due to be involved in the big switch on of the stars and to officially launch this year’s Sponsor the Sparkle campaign! More information of how to join the live event virtually will be provided soon.
