Our Charity Partner of the Year
Emsleys Solicitors and Emsleys Estate Agents are proud to welcome Martin House Children's Hospice as our charity partner of the year!
Our team were keen to identify a charity which contributes in a compelling and passionate way to our community. Chosen via an internal vote, our team were vocal in their support for Martin House Children's Hospice due to their local nature and wide awareness of their great cause. Our team were eager to be involved with Martin House's newly announced 'The Build' fundraiser which looks to update the charities' main building to bring key features up to date with everchanging service requirements.
Our support for the charity started earlier this year with members of our team taking part in The Big Zip at Xscape, Castleford. Raising a £792 our team whizzed down the zip line from the top of the activity centre to the car park below.
To officially welcome Martin House as charity of the year the team at Emsleys Solicitors welcomed to a Coffee and Cake morning at our offices. Duncan, Regional Fundraiser, attended our morning to speak to staff and explain more how the charity operates. As well as the usual sweet delights our team baked up a tray of Martin House cupcakes which were enjoyed by all.
The team plans to further support the charity with a series of running events, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, as well as individual efforts such as coast to coast cycles.
