Ensuring the over 70s are protected financially
Are you over 70? Do you have a close relative or friend over 70? As you get older you need peace of mind. You need to ensure that you have something in place in case you have a spell in hospital, become ill, or start to have seeing or hearing difficulties.
Often relatives want to help out but find they are unable to do so because banks, building societies and utility companies will only communicate with the person in whose name the account is.
A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you to nominate a close relative or friend to deal with your finances and pay your bills if your circumstances change and you cannot manage on your own.
We recommend that anybody over the age of 70 has a Lasting Power of Attorney in place for finances so that their chosen attorneys can ensure that bills are paid and finances dealt with.
