New Build Conveyancing
FAQs
- I have never bought a new property before, how does the process work?
- What happens after I have paid my reservation deposit?
- What is ‘exchange of contracts’?
- When do I pay my deposit to the developer?
If you’ve chosen a new home, you will need to be legally committed to buying the property before it can be finished with your chosen fittings. The competition for specific plots means that buyers exchange contracts well in advance of the building being finished and ready for occupation.
Your conveyancer will arrange for the mortgage and purchase monies to be paid to the developer on the notified completion date, ensuring that any related sale is co-ordinated. Our team will be on hand to advise you if things do not go according to plan, for example if building work is delayed.
Our expert conveyancers specialise in acting for buyers of new builds. They make sure that buyers have the information they need so that the experience of buying a brand new home does not lose its shine.
